Arriving in Gyumri, we will go to Vardanants Square, the central place of the city, surrounded by buildings with rich history. Here you will see the Church of the Holy Mother of God, known as the “Seven Arrows” Church, which houses an icon said to have been painted by the Evangelist Luke. We will also visit the building “Good Morning”, which got its name due to the element of ornamentation resembling a mirror with a towel. We will pay special attention to the Kostanov bathhouse, a unique combination of Eastern and Western architecture, and Villa Kars, the only house in the city built entirely in Art Nouveau style.

The first pedestrian street of the USSR and architectural gems
We will walk along the first pedestrian street in the USSR, one of the first in Europe, and admire St. Savior's Church - a symbol of Gyumri's boast. You will learn why exactly it is called so and what stories are hidden behind its walls.

Мы обязательно проедем по центральным улицам, узнаем больше о быте горожан.

Вы увидите мэрию и узнаете символику её архитектуры. Вы познакомитесь с сердцем города — музеем древних рукописей Матенадаран, Оперный театр и Каскад — визитная карточка Еревана. Шикарную панораму города мы увидим на смотровой площадке, а если повезёт, то и на гору Арарат. Северный Проспект — новая улица города удивит вас своей современной архитектурой и обязательно полюбуемся на площадь Республики — венец творения А. Таманяна.

2 ДЕНЬ: Могучие горы, красивые ущелья и много солнца
Во второй день первой нашей остановкой станет монастырь Хор Вирап — колыбель зарождения христианства в Армении. Во время осмотра монастыря вы услышите рассказ о хачкарах и о том как христианство пришло в Армению, кроме этого при благоприятной погоде, вам откроется потрясающий вид на Арарат. Насмотревшись на Масис (так армяне называют гору Арарат), мы продолжим наш путь.

Вы будете в восторге от маленькой деревушки, мимо которой мы проедем, где над каждым домом свито аистиное гнездо. На эти трогательные пейзажи можно полюбоваться с ранней весны и до начала осени. Мы проедем и мимо винной деревни, где растут автохтонные сорта винограда Арени и Воскеат. Вы сможете попробовать домашнее вино местных жителей, молодое игристое вино (в сезон), а также вина со всей Армении в маленьком дегустационном зале.

Вы посетите Пещеру Арени-1 — комплекс пещер, где местный смотритель расскажет вам об интересных артефактах, найденных во время раскопок. Следующей остановкой станет Храм Нораванк, окруженный красными скалами, где вам поведают легенду о нём, а здесь есть что послушать, ведь

3 ДЕНЬ: Ещё больше гор и озеро Севан
Потрясающий вид на гору Арарат нам откроется с первой нашей остановки дня, ей станет Арка Чаренца — сооружение, названное в честь армянского поэта и писателя Е. Чаренца. Насмотреться великолепными пейзажами мы сможем на Гарни — загадочное место, тут находится храм посвященный Богу Солнца, в основе постройки которого лежали исключительно математические расчеты и каноны сакральной геометрии. Упоминания о храме были ещё в первом веке. Храм построен в греческом стиле с ионическими колоннами. Вы узнаете почему он не был разрушен с приходом христианства в Армению. Гарнийская вода считается самой вкусной в Армении, ее обязательно нужно тут попробовать.

Следующей остановкой станет монастырь Гегард, окружённый утёсами. Сколько было вложено веры и труда в это место, ведь некоторые помещения этого монастырского комплекса целиком выдолблены в скале. Очень атмосферное место. Невольно чувствуешь безмятежность и умиротворённость. Здесь же местные бабушки пекут гату — национальную армянскую выпечку. Далее мы доберёмся до Севана — высокогорного озера, которое находится на высоте около 1900 м над уровня моря. Поднимемся на Севанский полуостров, зайдём в древний монастырь Севанаванк, откуда откроется великолепный вид на озеро, а чайки летают прямо над головами.

Then - “Vernisage” Flea Market (gifts, souvenirs: national clothes, dishes, clay, copper, wood products, carpets, handmade backgammon) and GUM market with local products (dairy products, fruits, vegetables, spices, sweets), reflecting the way of life of the Armenian people and their culinary traditions.

Day 2: Khor Virap, Noravank, Areni, Goris
Drive to the south of Armenia to Khor Virap Monastery (Ararat Valley, historical site, built on the site of the royal prison, view of Mount Ararat). Journey continues through a narrow gorge to the XIII century Noravank Monastery (Red Rock Valley). Visit to Areni village (Vayotsdzor region), famous for its Areni grape variety and wine production. End of the day in Goris (city of red roofs surrounded by cliffs and caves), overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 3: Hndzoresk, Tatev
Visit to the cave village of Hndzoresk (8 km from Goris) with rock dwellings inhabited until the mid-20th century and a picturesque gorge with a suspension bridge (length 160 m, height 63 m, built in 2012). Transfer to Tatev Monastery (pearl of medieval Armenian architecture, located on the edge of a cliff, picturesque place). Ascent to the monastery by the world's longest ropeway “Wings of Tatev” passing over the Vorotan River canyon (more than 320 meters deep).

Day 4: Echmiadzin, Geghard, Garni
Travel to Echmiadzin (religious center of all Armenians, residence of the Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the first Christian cathedral, built after the adoption of Christianity in 301, UNESCO World Heritage Site). Day 5: Lake Sevan, Dilijan, Haghartsin
Excursion to Lake Sevan (the pearl of Armenia, the second largest high mountain lake in Eurasia), visit Sevan Monastery of IX century on the top of the peninsula. Drive to the resort town of Dilijan (“Armenian Switzerland”, therapeutic air, scenic beauty). Visit to Haghartsin monastery complex (about 18 km from Dilijan), the name of which is connected with the legend about the eagle that soared over the dome at the consecration. Tour of St. Grigor's temple (X century) and the Church of the Holy Virgin (Surb Astvatsatsin) with stucco arches and decorations. Agartsin has been a major religious and cultural center since the 13th century.

Day 6: Saghmosavank, Hovanavank, Hot Springs
Visit the ancient Armenian monasteries of Saghmosavank and Hovanavank (about 20 km north of Yerevan, on the edge of the Kasakh River canyon, the distance between them is about 5 km). Saghmosavank Monastery (XIII century, built by order of Prince Vache Vachutyan, repository of valuable manuscripts). Hovanavank Monastery (IV-XIII centuries, the oldest construction - one-nave basilica of the V century, the main temple was built in 1216-1221, the narthex was added in 1250, had extensive holdings, inscriptions of XIII-XVIII centuries). End of the tour with a visit to natural hot springs with mineral water (temperature 30-69 °C, healing properties, picturesque places).

• Areni Wine Tasting: Stop in the Areni wine region, known for its autochthonous grape varieties, and taste local wines.
• Areni Cave-1: Explore the cave where ancient artifacts have been discovered, including the world's oldest leather shoes.
• Noravank Monastery: Visit the 13th century monastery located in a picturesque gorge amidst red rocks, known for its unique architecture and history.
